He has held the position of President in FEPelota since 1991.   He has also been President and founder of the Club Quijote de Pelota (1979-1985), and the Ball Federation of Castilla La Mancha (1985-1991).

He was appointed Vice President of the International Federation of Basque Pelota in the year 1991. Founder of the Union of European Federations of Basque Pelota, being unanimously elected President in  2005. Since 2005, he has presided over the Association of Spanish Sports Federations, not included in the Olympic plans (AFEDES). The year 2015, on the occasion of the founding of the Spanish Sports Association (ADESP), which brings together all the Spanish Sports Federations, he was appointed 1st Vice President.

In 2007 he became a member of the Board of Directors of the Higher Sports Council, occupying that position at present.
